Veterinarian
Brief info

Dr. Brette Ratliff joined the Animal Health Center family in June of 2020. She grew up in White House, TN (just north of Nashville), and received her D.V.M. at the University of Tennessee. Growing up, Brette had always been interested in agriculture and science, especially animal health. She got her passion from her father who taught agriculture education at her local high school and was raised to appreciate farmers, livestock, and other four-legged companions. Brette is married and has a mutt who is very spoiled.

Dr. Brette Ratliff works at our Oskaloosa clinic, focusing on small animal medicine and surgery. If she wasn’t so good at her job at the clinic, she would likely be an art professor. She believes that expressing yourself through art and having to teach that to others would be a fun challenge. The advice she would give to others who may want to join our veterinarian team at Animal Health Center is they must be “ready to work hard and willing to learn from an amazing group of mentors, who are always there for you.” Brette hopes to strengthen the human-animal bond and looks forward to serving the state of Iowa.
