Dr. Brette Ratliff joined the Animal Health Center family in June of 2020. She grew up in White House, TN (just north of Nashville), and received her D.V.M. at the University of Tennessee. Growing up, Brette had always been interested in agriculture and science, especially animal health. She got her passion from her father who taught agriculture education at her local high school and was raised to appreciate farmers, livestock, and other four-legged companions. Brette is married and has a mutt who is very spoiled. She enjoys being outdoors doing activities like hiking, kayaking, being on the lake, and gardening. Brette works mainly at our Ottumwa clinic, focusing on small animal medicine and surgery. She hopes to strengthen the human-animal bond and looks forward to serving the state of Iowa.
